遺伝子・分子生物学研究室
動物、植物、微生物の生命現象を分子レベルで調べ、特にこれら生体内での遺伝子および酵素の働きを解き明かすための研究を行います。生き物の固有の特徴となっているさまざまな形質は、細胞内にある染色体(遺伝子)に設計図が書かれています。しかし、これら遺伝子がどのように発現し制御されているのか、また遺伝子によって作られるタンパク質の機能はまだ分かっていないことが非常に多く残っています。私達の研究室では微生物をモデルとして、人と微生物の関わりをテーマにしています。医療関連分野と理工学分野の橋渡し役になる人材育成を目的としています。
